Up to 75 minutes. Zoom | MS Teams | WhatsApp.
This service allows you to speak with an e-guru with an intermediate to advanced skill set or a specialist within a certain field. This type of e-consult is ideal for most small to medium enterprise businesses. For larger companies, we recommend you request a custom consult via our Immediate Action Request Form. For the product page you are on, this e-consult is ideal for needs such as:
- Advanced Q&A: Most software, hardware, third-party, web, hosting, e-security issues, and cloud solutions.
- Advanced Configuration: Of most software.
- Advanced Security Solutions: Of most third-party security software solutions.
- Initial Review and Guidance on a Potential Hack or Data Breach: A starting point to help a business ascertain if a breach or hack has indeed taken place, and offer initial response and mitigation steps to respond. (Cybersecurity policy development and incident response planning cannot be done via an e-consult and must be quoted for. Our team can also assist with online reputation management and media training services.)
- Initial Review for a Software Audit and Compliance Check: An initial review of software licenses and installations for compliance with licensing agreements.
- Hardware Performance Assessment: An entry-level e-health check on servers, desktops, and other hardware to ensure optimal performance, attempting to identify and diagnosing hardware issues before they result in system failures.
- Data Backup Solutions: Offering recommendations and solutions for implementing robust data backup and recovery solutions to protect against data loss.
- Software and Hardware Upgrades: Advising on necessary updates and upgrades to keep systems more secure and efficient.
This e-consult is a very helpful consult for advanced issues. It is imperative to note that in some instances, a physical assessment of a device or network may be required to provide more definitive support. During this session, one or more of our team members will receive a detailed overview of your concerns and offer the best possible advice during the available session time. After the session, we might follow up with an email containing any notes or recommendations. This session might include actionable software, hardware, accounts, data, and infrastructure diagnostics. Our team member/s will offer the best possible advice based on what is shared during the consult in terms of video, audio, and, when applicable, screen share and software or hardware assessments.
Conditions of e-consult:
- Our standard service terms and conditions apply to all e-consults. Please review [here]. Proceeding with an appointment confirms that you have read, understood, and accepted all terms and conditions.
- In order to make the most of the e-consult, we ask that clients ensure they are in a quiet area with a stable internet connection and that they have prepared all information and questions ahead of the session.
- When you proceed to 'check out' to confirm an appointment, you will be given the opportunity to provide as much information about your situation as you wish. The more you provide, the more helpful we can be from the start.
- If there are any documents, screenshots, or other supporting files you wish for our team to review in preparation for the e-consult, please email them to consults@cyberdefenders.co.za, and use your full name in the subject line for our reference.
- Post-appointment confirmation order: If during the e-consult session, or upon review of information provided by the client, our team forms the opinion that additional consult time or an alternative specialist is required to meet the client’s needs, this will be communicated to the client, and they may elect to either accept the additional charges or decline. It is imperative that a client selects the type of consult they require upfront because no e-consult fees are refunded. (If you are uncertain, please ask before you book.)
- Consult time provisions are inclusive of any time our team uses reviewing information provided by the client pre-session, actual consult time, and time used in preparing the post-session report.
- You will be able to offer 3 prospective e-consult dates and times for our team to consider. We always try to accommodate a client at one of their preferred times, but due to the nature of our work and the fact that we have a boutique specialist team, we cannot guarantee any given time slot. However, if we cannot accommodate your preferred time, we will offer alternative options for your consideration. Most bookings of this nature take place within 3 full working days of the consult appointment request. E-consults take place during standard South African working hours.
- If you need to reschedule an e-consult, we can allow one appointment change at no charge if more than 24 working hours' notice is given and a request is sent to consults@cyberdefenders.co.za. The new appointment date and time are subject to our team's availability.
- If a client misses their confirmed e-consult for any reason, the e-consult fee is forfeited. Please make sure you add our appointment to your diary and be ready 20 minutes prior to the start time.
- All bookings and payments are subject to 100% cancellation fees, and there are no refunds.
- All conditions and points detailed within this product service description are fully binding on a client should they proceed with the product purchase.
